Academics

Reclaim Private Schools is an educational service provider that operates as a private school, using the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) as the foundation for its curriculum. Teachers create daily lesson plans with developmentally appropriate, differentiated instruction, gradually increasing academic rigor to support student growth. Instruction is scaffolded using vertically aligned TEKS, enabling students to engage with content at their level while extending their learning. In cases of isolation or quarantine, Continuity of Learning Packets are provided and must be reviewed and approved by both a Reclaim Administrative Team Member and relevant Teacher Cohort Members to ensure instructional consistency. To uphold transparency and high academic standards, Reclaim administers norm-referenced tests for students in grades 3–12. In addition, families are invited to complete a parental satisfaction survey of the program, both of which help demonstrate Reclaim Private School’s commitment to quality education and accountability to the families it serves.

Our instructional model incorporates English as a Second Language (ESL) strategies and, when possible, dual-language instruction aligned with a student's home language. Supplemental resources include technology tools, the ACCESS Newcomer Curriculum, and the Inglés Para Latinos Guide. For the 2024–2025 school year, Reclaim Private Schools will be integrating Footsteps2Brilliance Inc. as a core component of our ESL curriculum.

Reclaim operates as a unified “one schoolhouse” model across 20 classrooms throughout Texas. Educators use a combination of traditional lectures, technology integration, and hands-on learning to deliver daily lessons. To ensure consistency across all campuses, our faculty is organized into subject-specific cohorts—Math, Science/Health, English Language Arts (Reading and Writing), ESL, Social Studies, and Physical Education, with Art integrated into core subjects beginning in 2024–2025. These teacher cohorts meet quarterly, either virtually or in person, to strengthen instructional alignment and collaboration. Additionally, built-in Professional Development provides structured time for teachers to refine and enhance curriculum as a team.

Technology

We equip every classroom with an interactive smart board and provide each student with their own Chromebook in a 1:1 learning environment. Technology is used daily to support instruction, build academic skills, and promote digital literacy. Students engage with a variety of educational platforms across all subjects, making technology an integral and seamless part of their learning experience.

Language Arts

Our Language Arts curriculum aligns with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for each grade level. Students engage with a variety of literary genres to develop reading strategies, literary analysis, and written expression. Literature selections also serve as models for grammar, sentence structure, and composition. Instruction is supported by programs such as Achieve 3000, Imagine Learning, and Starfall, which offer personalized practice in reading comprehension, vocabulary, and phonics.

Mathmatics

Mathematics instruction emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and real-world application. The curriculum follows the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for each grade level and focuses on building strong numeracy and critical thinking skills. Students in Grades 3 and up use ALEKS, an online program that provides a personalized learning path based on each student’s readiness and skill level.

Science

Science instruction emphasizes inquiry-based learning, observation, and hands-on exploration. The curriculum follows the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for each grade level. Students in Grades 3 and up are enrolled in Scientific Minds, a program that supports scientific literacy, vocabulary development, content review, and test preparedness through interactive and standards-aligned resources.

Physical Education & Health

Physical Education and Health focus on promoting overall student well-being—physical, mental, emotional, and social. Students participate in team sports when appropriate, as well as individual fitness challenges that build confidence and coordination. Lifelong wellness habits are introduced and practiced to support healthy, active lifestyles both in and out of school.

Art

Art is integrated into all subject areas, allowing students to express creativity while reinforcing academic content. Instruction follows the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and includes activities such as drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, and sculpture. Lessons support vocabulary development as students explore artistic techniques and connect visual expression to classroom learning.
